2 Days Zagora Desert

Depart Marrakech at dawn and cross the majestic High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260m). Descend into the ochre Draa Valley — one of Morocco's longest and most beautiful valleys — lined with kasbahs, date palms, and ancient ksars. Stop at Agdz and Tamegroute (famous for its Islamic library). Arrive in Zagora in the afternoon. Mount your camel for a sunset ride into the dunes and spend the night in a comfortable desert camp under the stars.

Rise before dawn to watch the desert sunrise paint the dunes in gold and crimson. After a traditional Berber breakfast at camp, begin the return journey through the Draa Valley, stopping at any sights missed on day one. Cross back over the High Atlas and return to Marrakech by late afternoon.
